Sinopsis :

Poetry is one of the three main types of writing that students are told to study. In A Guide to Poetry: Form and Meaning, students learn about the different parts of poems and are asked to think about how they affect society. It starts with paying attention to the ways in which the language in songs is different from everyday language. Then, students learn about the different types of poems, how to use figurative language, and other important parts of poetry like the speaker, setting, subject, and theme. By being able to identify these factors in depth, students are better able to look for the outside connections between the poems and things like biography, history, society, philosophy, and mythology.
